The Salvation Army is only able to carry out its mission with the support of volunteers. From cooking and serving meals to first responders to providing disaster social services to people experiencing debilitating losses from a disaster, there are a variety of roles that our volunteers may be able to serve in. To ensure that we are upholding our mission and providing our volunteers and clients with a safe environment, we have policies that require all EDS volunteers to be trained and background checked. If you would like to become a Salvation Army EDS volunteer, please go through the following steps:
Register as a new volunteer, take the free online "Introduction to Emergency Disaster Services" course on that website, and print and fill out this packet and return via email it to Carmen, or return it via email to Ian Anderson: ian.anderson@usw.salvationarmy.org, or mail it to our divisional headquarters at 1370 Pennsylvania St, Denver, CO 80203.
For any questions on registering as a Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services Volunteer, please contact Ian Anderson at (303) 860-5430 or via email at ian.anderson@usw.salvationarmy.org.
