Salvation Army responds to Table Mountain Fire

Golden, CO (March 10, 2017) –The Salvation Army Emergency Services is responding to the South Table Mountain Fire in Golden, CO. 

The Salvation Army was contacted yesterday by Jefferson County Emergency Management to provide food and hydration services to first responders. Approximately 68 firefighters are one the ground fighting the blaze. A mobile feeding unit, staff and volunteers are on-site with essential food and water supply for first responders and fire evacuees.

The fire broke out on South Table Mountain yesterday afternoon and has burned about 66 acres. So far, it is 0 percent contained according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said.
